"On their latest effort, "Love Anyway", Irene & The Sleepers have taken any preconceptions based on their earlier material and shamelessly thrown them out the window. The sophomore EP, self released on December 18th, shows not only growth, but also a level of ambition rarely seen by artists of their small town caliber. This isn't to say that they aren't radio friendly by any means. God knows if you put songs like "Want It All Tonight" or "Little Love Left" on any Hot AC or rock station, the request lines would be over loaded almost immediately.
Irene & The Sleepers have also been making a name for themselves across the south for their energetic, some may say 'relentless', live show and the word is quickly spreading. With show attendance nearly tripling over the past year, it seems these five southern boys have chosen the sky as their ceiling. They are embarking on an acoustic tour this spring which will invade Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Catch them at a show soon, while you don't have to rely on scalpers." - James Gilcrease, DayOldBlues.com
